Our international partner in the energy sector Budapest is looking for a new colleague in positon of
Enviromental & Social Impact Assesment Expert
You are
responsible for:
- Supervising and advising the Local Front-End Engineering Design Engineer with regard to international Enviromental & Social Impact Assesment requirements
- Interaction with International Financing Institutions
- Interaction with the enviromental authorities and other parties
- Ensuring compliance of Enviromental & Social Impact Assesment documents to corporate project requirements and International Financing Institutions regulations
- Review/approve all Enviromental & Social Impact Assesment documents issued by the Local Front-End Engineering Design Engineer
- Interaction with Nabucco International Company and the Enviromental & Social Impact Assesment advisor
- Monitor the environmental protection issues of the project, from International Financing Institution's perspective, during construction phase
- Manage and control environmental works of the Local Front-End Engineering Design Engineer in line with the provisions of local legislation
- Manage the relations with the local environmental authorities and other parties involved (permitting negotiations, public hearings etc.)
- Permanent monitoring/reporting on the status of the environmental works carried out by the Local Front-End Engineering Design Engineer including the process of obtaining the Environmental Permit
- Ensure implementation of environmental protection provisions during construction phase
Qualification:
- Degree in natural gas/ environmental/ engineering
- At least 5 years intensive experience in environmental issues in gas and/or oil industry
- Experience and knowledge on European/national Enviromental Investigation Agency legislation
- Experience and knowledge on nternational Financing Institution's environmental requirements (eg. Equator Principles)
- Experience and knowledge on International Conventions and Treaties relevant to Enviromental & Social Impact Assesment
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Familiar with working in truly international and multicultural environment
